The mission of Our Sisters' Closet is to increase the self-confidence and job opportunities of disadvantaged women who are job seeking by providing free interview and workplace clothing, and job search support and career advancement training to women, men and teens.

Yes, we are "A Perfect Fit" and want to assist in bringing confidence, clothing and career advancement to 500+ men, women and teens this year! Black Tie - $1000 plus TrendSetter - $750 to $999 StyleExperts - $500 to $749 Sharp Dressers - $250 to $499 Tailored - $50 to $249 Fresh Start - $10 - $49 Make checks payable to: Our Sisters' Closet, PO Box 637, Mobile, AL 36601. If a smaller Recurring Donation is more feasible for you, this is an option when you make the on-line donation. We appreciate Matched Gifts thru your company. If your company does event sponsorships, please contact us and we can send them the information. Donations are tax-deductible; a tax donation form will be mailed to you. Donate Dignity

When you donate clothing & accessories that are LIKE-NEW: Clean, Pressed, On-Hangers, In- Season, You Become One of Our Volunteers and are Donating DIGNITY! Please check the underarms & necklines for cleanliness & stains as well as stains elsewhere, missing buttons, broken zippers, pilling, etc. We DO NOT give our clients Stained or Dirty Clothing!

What We Need: Donations of all types of clothing (casual & professional), accessories, jewelry, handbags, shoes, bras, slips, sleepwear, new cosmetics, & coats are accepted to stock Our Sisters' Closet boutique. Designer, After-Five, Evening Gowns, Hats & Vintage are accepted for our Cheap Chic Boutique Fundraiser. Drop-off Information We ask that you only donate 25 or fewer hanging pieces & 2 shopping bags of accessories at our drop-off sites. These are small racks and not meant for total closet clean-out type donations. Please contact us for larger donations at 251.423.2001. These sites can not accept garbage or lawn/garden bags of clothing/accessories nor boxes. Thank you for respecting these sites & their willingness to be a drop-off. You may find it helpful to make an inventory of your donation before you come if you are planning on claiming it on your tax return. The IRS recommends donors go to the Goodwill website for recommended dollar amounts: https://goodwillnne.org/donate/donation-value-guide/ A Tax Donation Form is available at both sites. Even if you are not claiming them on your taxes, we do appreciate knowing who to thank for their support - so please fill out a form! Locations & Times Midtown: St. Mary Parish, Sisters of Mercy Building, 1452 Old Shell Road (between Lafayette and Providence Streets across from McGill High School) WEEKDAYS: 3:30 PM TILL DARK WEEKENDS: ANY TIME The rack is located in the Elevator Alcove at the end of the Wheelchair Ramp at the parking lot level. (see picture) West Mobile: Inspired Closets 7755 Summit Court (see picture) Off Schillingers Road, 1 block south of Cottage Hill, right across Schillingers from Foosackley's and Firestone. Phone: 251-344-0202 (as they are a small business you might want to call before you go) MONDAY-FRIDAY ONLY: 9am-3:30pm Buy a Suit Cash donations are also used to purchase clothing where donations do not meet the needs. For example, about 75% of our clients wear a size 18 or larger, but only about 20% of our donations are in these sizes. Host a Fundraiser Host a fundraiser at your office for Our Sisters' Closet: Build teamwork & morale while reaching out to the community. We have some great ideas! Organize a Clothing Drive Organize a clothing drive where you work, worship, your neighborhood, for your civic and professional organizations. Volunteer Volunteer for our "Cheap Chic Boutique" fundraiser and other volunteer opportunities. Call Terri Kearns for details. In-Kind/Product Contributions We are always in need of product contributions that enhance workforce preparation services: Pro-bono advertising space to raise awareness of our mission Pocket Calendars Vinyl Lunch Bags Umbrellas Post Flyers Post our flyers wherever you go, and tell all your friends about Our Sisters' Closet!
